Sharon Kemp is Chief Executive of Rotherham Council and led the improvements which saw powers returned and a ‘Good’ Ofsted rated Children’s Services. Sharon has worked within the public sector for over 20 years across community safety, neighbourhood management, community cohesion, performance and partnerships. Starting her career within Greater Manchester Police before moving into Local Government, she spent 6 years in Blackburn and Darwen, and 2 years at Haringey as Assistant Chief Executive following the Baby P case. Sharon then became Assistant Chief Executive for People and Strategic Director (Reform) at Manchester City Council from September 2009-16.
