
Alison has served as Chief Executive of Maidstone Borough Council since 2010 and brings over 40 years of local government experience across district and unitary authorities. An experienced strategic leader, she has successfully led organisational change, governance reform, regeneration programmes and major partnership initiatives while working within complex political environments. Under her leadership, Maidstone has developed an ambitious regeneration agenda, a strong track record in financial sustainability, and a culture of high staff engagement and collaboration. She has overseen significant regeneration and commercial investment programmes, including the delivery of affordable housing, business innovation facilities and a £200 million capital programme. Alison has built strong partnerships across local government, health, business and the voluntary sector, championing community wellbeing, sustainable growth and service integration. She has led for Kent district councils on children's safeguarding and criminal justice partnerships and serves on a number of health and care boards. She is widely recognised for her collaborative leadership, strategic insight and commitment to delivering positive outcomes for residents and communities.
