
Eve Roodhouse is Director of Strategy and Policy at the Local Government Association and a member of its Executive Leadership Team, leading strategy, policy, and improvement work. She works closely with LGA members, senior politicians and officers to shape organisational priorities and champion local government, advocating for the powers, resources and support councils need to deliver for communities. Her portfolio spans health and care, local government finance, housing, public service reform, digital, data and technology, and inclusive growth. Previously, Eve worked at Leeds City Council, where she led delivery of the city’s Inclusive Growth Strategy, including pioneering initiatives such as the Leeds Inclusive Anchors Network and Social Progress Index, and served as Chief Officer for Culture and Economy. Earlier in her career, she spent 15 years at NHS Digital delivering major IT transformation programmes, including the first Prison Health IT system in England and the Child Protection Information Sharing Project.
