Kate Blakemore is the Chief Executive of the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk, appointed in June 2024. With over 18 years’ experience in local government, she began her career in Environmental Health at Great Yarmouth Borough Council, progressing to Strategic Director with responsibility for a wide range of services. Kate is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, recognised for her strategic leadership, commitment to service excellence, and ability to drive organisational improvement. In her current role, she provides vision and direction for the council, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality services, fostering community engagement, and supporting sustainable growth across the borough. Kate is passionate about empowering teams, building strong partnerships, and creating positive change that benefits residents, businesses, and the environment.
