Dan O’Sullivan is Head of Markets, Shop Fronts, Street Trading & Commercial Services at the London Borough of Hackney, where he leads one of the UK’s most awarded local government services. A nationally recognised leader and winner of the 2025 LGC Rising Star Award, Dan has driven major commercial, economic and digital reforms, including the OpenMarkets London platform, which is helping shape licensing practice and policy beyond Hackney. He sits on the Mayor of London’s Markets Board and NABMA’s national board, advising government, sector bodies and local authorities on inclusive economic growth, regulatory reform and place-based innovation.
