Chris has worked in Local Government for 41 years and at Director level for the last 22. Presently Director of Environment and Regeneration for the L.B. Merton. Chris has responsibility for all public realm matters including Regeneration, Planning, Environmental Health, Property, parking, community safety and transport matters. As a past Chair of the London Environment Directors Network Chris leads for LEDNET (London Environment Directors Network) on Air Quality and Transport across London. Chris is a Member of the Council’s Health and Wellbeing Board and is extremely interested in the drivers of improved public health and the links to ‘place’ For the last 6 years Chris has been a Director and Chairman of CHAS a successful wholly owned Local Authority Company providing health and safety services to business.
