Dwayne has been Chief Executive Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council since June 2019.
Dwayne has worked for Sefton for 6 years, previously as Director Adults, Children and Education and part of that time covered the joint DASS and Community Services role with Halton Council. Dwayne had worked in Halton for 10 years as the Director of Community Services, including the Director of Housing role.
Dwayne is a qualified and still registered social worker and has an MBA and MA in Leadership. He has worked within Local Government for almost 40 years and is the Deputy spokesperson for SOLACE on health and adult social care.
During this time Dwayne has given oral and written evidence to various Health Select Committees and in 2010 he was invited to Downing Street to share views on the future of social services and its integration with Health, and has since contributed on a range of integration issues at a national and sub regional level.
