I started my local government career, straight from school at the GLC and then at ILEA. I have worked across 11 local authorities in London predominantly in central and east London. I have worked under Conservative, Labour, Liberal Democrats and no overall control administrations and worked within the committee, mayoral and leader and cabinet political structure.
I also studied part time to achieve my Masters In Business Administration and a Masters in Public Administration. My most recent roles were at Strategic and Executive Director level in Newham and Lambeth.
I was attracted to the Bexley Chief Executive role as it has an ambitious growth strategy, outstanding children social care, top performance at recycling and a real focus on delivering excellent services for residents while working with them to improve their local environment and building for the future.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and more recently have taken up yoga and circuits.
