Ian Davis, a qualified Environmental Health Officer, joined Enfield in September 2007 as Assistant Director Environmental Protection and Regulation, from Hammersmith & Fulham Council, before stepping up to the Director's role in July 2008. Managing most of the Council's so called ‘universal services’ including waste, highways, transport, community safety and regulatory services; Ian also acted as the North London Waste Authority’s Environment Advisor.
In April 2013 Regeneration was incorporated into the newly formed Regeneration and Environment Department. Leading the authority’s approach to regeneration, inward investment and economic development Ian developed a strategy to deliver the £6bn Meridian Water redevelopment and transformed the Council’s Estate Renewal programme In April 2015 Council Housing also was incorporated into the Regeneration & Environment Department.
In April 2017 Ian was successfully appointed as the Chief Executive of Enfield Council. Ian is focused on working with partners to address Enfield’s health inequalities, further improving inward investment and delivering high quality, low cost services that support local residents and businesses.
