Lambeth Council’s Chief Executive Andrew Travers began his career in the health service before moving into local government with Brent Council. He subsequently worked for Haringey Council, eventually as Director of Resources before moving to the London Development Agency in 2007.
He then worked for Barnet Council, becoming Chief Executive in 2012 and leading their ambitious transformation and development programmes. Andrew left Barnet in 2016 and worked as a consultant for a number of London authorities before joining Lambeth Council as interim Chief Executive in October 2017. He was permanently appointed to the role in July 2018.
