Robin has been Chief Executive at Calderdale Council since June 2017. Robin is lead Chief Executive for Children’s Services and Flooding for the Leeds City Region, and shares the lead Chief Executive role for Health with the Chief Executive for Leeds City Council. He is lead Chief Executive for Workforce Development and Cohesion and Migration for Yorkshire and Humber. He is co-chair of West Yorkshire Local Resilience Forum, and a member of West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership Executive.
Robin was previously Director of Communities and Business Change for Calderdale, leading the multi-award winning restoration of the Piece Hall in Halifax. He has worked in senior roles in local government in West Yorkshire and East London since 2001, and before that in worked in the voluntary sector and the Probation Service. Robin is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Trustee of the Lankelly Chase Foundation, and was a school governor for seven years.
