Rob Walsh was appointed Chief Executive of North East Lincolnshire Council on 1 January 2014, having been with the local authority since it formed in 1996. Rob is the Yorkshire and Humber CEO representative on the Local Government's Association's (LGA) Health and Care Sounding Board, a forum for engagement between local government and the DHSC. Rob was invited by Government to be one of two Local Government hospital discharge champions, supporting the work of the Department for Levelling Up, DHSC and the Ministerial Board. In his role as Chief Executive Rob has been keen to promote the profile of the council and the borough with a view to creating the right conditions for investment, inclusive economic growth and community resilience.
