As a qualified accountant Sue has worked in the public sector for almost 30 years. Her career has covered various organisations including police, higher education and the NHS, and in 2008 she joined Bolton Council. There she became Borough Treasurer in 2014 before moving to the roles of Corporate Director and Deputy Chief Executive, becoming Chief Executive in 2022.
